On the material level my life is perfect. I have a good job, which gives me much freedom to travel long time. I only need to work 2-3 days per week. I live in a beautiful village in the middle of Germany with many friends and a lot of music, culture and parties. But it has always been difficult for me to find a partner, who likes to join me in this adventurous life. In the past I had many disappointments. Most of the German women work all the time and have no time for leisure and travelling. A career seems to be for them more important than love and relationship.
Something about me: I am 45 years old, 1.80m, 73 kg and do a lot of sports: volleyball, badminton, jogging, cycling, diving, mountain-trekking, swimming, sailing. I like to dance, make music, give and receive massage, watch movies, hang out with friends. I have no children, because I didn’t find the right partner yet.
I am a psychotherapist working in my own practise in the next city of Kassel. Because I have the license to work together with the health insurances, there are always enough clients and the payment is guaranteed. Besides my study at the university I made trainings in bodywork, bioenergetics, natural healing, yoga and meditation. (I could teach you techniques of massage and bodywork, so later on you might have your own clients).
11 years before I was moving to the small village of Hübenthal with green fields, forests and a castle. It is located in the middle of Germany between the two cities of Kassel and Göttingen, (both approximately half an hour away). Around 60 people settled here who share a vision of peace, ecology and awareness. Many of them work in the social area or healing arts, others are artists and musicians. Most of them, like me, work outside in the next cities. In the village there is also a wellness centre with group rooms, meditation hall, guest rooms, bistro and disco. There are a lot of workshops and trainings in all areas of healing arts, bodywork, psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, music, dance and arts. There are many visitors coming through out the year.
Recently I have bought a part of the buildings and own 5 rooms with mini-kitchens which I rent to friends. For myself I have on top of it a beautiful apartment which is still under construction. I usually don’t cook myself, but go to the canteen which serves a very good vegetarian buffet every day.I like very much to travel, every year 15-20 weeks altogether. There are three different kinds of travelling:
In Europe I usually go around with my camping car because an ordinary holiday is quite expensive. Sometimes I spend one or two weeks in a hotel in Mallorca or the Canary Islands. Many times I go to the seaside of Germany. The last summer I was in Norway, but usually I prefer warmer countries like France, Croatia or Spain. Another way of holiday is trekking from one mountain hotel to another in the Alps or Dolomites. But I also like the surroundings of my village: There are many forests, hills and open green fields. In summertime I like cycling, hiking or swimming in one of the beautiful lakes. In winter it is possible to go skiing close by.
The second kind of travelling is in Asia and South-America: Food and accommodation is cheap, so I can afford a nice beach bungalow and a good meal in a restaurant three times a day; like on the beaches of Goa/India, where I spent many months. But I also like to travel around by public transport, car or motorcycle. With my own motorcycle I was going all the way through India from the south up the high Himalayas. I crossed the highest mountain roads of the world with over 17.000 feet altitude to the mysterious country of Ladakh. Another highlight was trekking in the jungles of Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. Bali was also one of my favourites. South America is also interesting for me; I was already several times in the Amazons jungle in Brazil and many times in the Carribeans. I can also imagine a tour with a camping car in the national parks of the United States.
Today my emphasis is more on relaxing. So my main interest is sailing on big catamarans! Forget everything you heard about sailing. I only use big sailing catamarans which offer much space and luxury. It is very comfortable, because they don't lean to the side and are quite stable even in strong weather conditions. I am a trained skipper and organise sailing tours in Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Spain and in the Caribbean, which are my favourite. My special way is not to stop overnight in a harbour, but to anchor out in a romantic bay or in front of a coral reef or sandy beach. For me this is the most beautiful way of making holiday!
